The Computer Support Technician certificate program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in computer networking, system configuration, and programming skills, preparing them for dynamic technical support roles. In the fall semester, students build core competencies through courses covering essential networking principles and A+ Certification Preparation, complemented by an introduction to Python programming to develop critical problem-solving abilities. The spring semester further enhances these skills with specialized coursework in information assurance, as well as hands-on training in configuring both Linux and Windows operating systems, and advanced Python programming to solidify software troubleshooting expertise. This carefully structured curriculum ensures that graduates are equipped with the practical, industry-relevant knowledge necessary to excel in computer support and technical services, positioning them for immediate entry-level success and further professional development in the IT field.
