Program Description

Completing this certificate prepares you to serve in any P-12 classroom as a Paraprofessional Educator. Upon completion of these classes, you will have the educational knowledge and skills to support and reinforce teacher plans for individuals and small groups. Additionally, you will have the educational knowledge and skills to supervise and guide student behaviors. This certification may apply towards required coursework in the Associate of Arts Elementary Education degree.

  • Minimum grade of "C" for each course
  • Minimum cumulative MCC GPA of 2.0 to graduate
  • Remedial/Developmental level courses do not apply.
  • 25% of the credits in this program must be taken at MCC
