Students transferring to MCC from another college or university must file the following with the MCC Registrar/Records Office:
- An online Admission Application with a declared program of study toward which transfer courses are to be evaluated.
- An official transcript of all credits earned from each college or university attended.
- Official transcripts must be received by the MCC Registrar electronically or in the mail, directly from the other institution (or its transcript service.)
- Transcripts marked, "Issued to Student," even if sealed, are not considered official, will not be accepted nor evaluated, and will be discarded.
- Foreign transcripts (from colleges and universities outside the U.S.) must be evaluated course-by-course by an approved evaluation service. The student arranges to have this done and then has the evaluation service send a copy of the evaluation directly to the MCC Registrar. For further guidance, please contact the Student Services office.
NOTE: If the student was enrolled at another college or university while in high school and this is the first college/university the student is attending since high school graduation, the student is classified as a “New” student. Only if student has never attended MCC since high school graduation but has attended another institution since high school graduation can the student be classified as a “Transfer” student.
